I'm Home!

I'm back from Lynchburg. It was nice to get away from house stuff and work for a couple days. Next week I'll be leaving for 6 day. Woo hoo!
We're headed to Rochester and then to the 1,000 Islands. It's my favorite trip of the year. We hang out with Russ's parents and sister for the week and it's so great. We never have anything planned, we just sit and read and walk down town, or just chat. It's very relaxing!

Nothing too much new on the house front. We've had 10 walk throughs in 5 days. My realtor thinks we'll have a couple (2-3) offers very soon. I wouldn't mind if it took a couple weeks. I had no intention of selling my house in a week. We have not even looked at houses to buy yet. Well, we've found some online, but we havent' went and looked at them yet. We're going to see 3 of them tomorrow. I'm excited!!

I'm 5DPO. No symptoms yet. No PMS signs. I had sore nip right after ovulation, but now that is hardly there at all. My boobs are not sore yet. Usually by now, my right one is. I hope my hormones are not still screwed up. I really need to get pregnant this month. Otherwise, I'm going on Lupron for 2 months. I don't want to do it, but I have perfect BD'ing this month, so if I'm not pregnant, then Dr Crain is probably right and I'm lacking the beta-3 protein. The side effects of Lupron are about the same as going through menopause. Hot flashes, moody, weight gain, etc. I am NOT looking forward to that. So hopefully, I'm pregnant right now!!

Well, I'm off to bed. I'll update tomorrow on how the house viewings went.

So Much Going On!

It's been a crazy crazy week!
It all started last week when we decided we were going to put our house up for sale. We don't have a lot to do to the house, but we do have some painting. I spent Thursday and Friday of last week painting the bathroom and the ceiling after work. Then we were out of town in Pine Hurst on Saturday and Sunday.
Our realtor put our house up for sale "Officially" on Sunday. Here is the link to our house on line.
http://www.century21.com/buy/property_detail.aspx?teasers=property-detail-all+Property+Detail+with+Pictures+and+Tour&tr_key=33915650&bSite=N&City=mocksville&State=NC&Zip=27028&PriceMin=100000&PriceMax=125000&BedsMin=3&BathsMin=2

Within 48 hours of it being on line, we had 6 appointments for viewings from people that are intersted. And they keep coming. It's kinda crazy having to make SURE everything in your house is neat and orderly before leaving for work "Just in case" someone comes to view it. Luckily Melissa has taught me to be completely anal about the cleanliness of my house, so it's not really a big deal. But still, when you have to leave for the evening viewings, it annoying. Like where do I go for an hour. I spent Monday wandering around wal-mart.

Today I'm in Lynchburg with Russ. He's working right now and I'm enjoying my rest and relaxation in the hotel room. We have a HUGE suite, paid for by his company. Last night we went to dinner with his work people and it was BORING!! All they did was talk about work. And they are all engineers, so they have abslolutely NO PERSONALITY OR SENSE OF HUMOR! Tonight Russ and I are going out by ourselves. After dinner, Russ and I walked around downtown Lynchburg. It's a really pretty town. I'm going to take some pictures tonight.
We're going to dinner at a PRICEY italian restaurant (cause the company is paying for it) and then we'll walk around down town again.
I'm going back home tomorrow morning. Russ will come back tomorrow night with the other guys.

Well, I'll write more later. I have to go down and get some more coffee:)

My "Potted" Vegetable Garden

Remember how I wanted to make some fried green tomatoes? I couldn't ever find any green tomoatoes, so I planted my own garden. These are in Pots, because I wasn't sure if I could ACTUALLY grow something. But, as you'll see in the pics below........................I CAN!!!!

When we move, I'm soooo going to have a REAL vege garden!!! But for now, I'll have my tomatoes for Fried Green Tomatoes, my Cherry tomoatoes for my salads, and my Green peppers because I love them and they are freakin' expensive!!!

Fertility Appointment Consult (06/21/07):

So, yesterday, I met with Dr Crain again. I wanted some ovulation meds so I could ovulate like a normal women. For those that don't know, I ovulate between Cycle Day 17 and 23. It varies every month by a lot and I'm tired of it.

Well, Dr Crain is concerned about a protein called Beta-3 that needs to be present in the uterus for implantation. He said that there is a 50% chance of NOT having that protein with women who have/had endometriosis. This protein in necessary for the embryo to implant. He gave me two options. Go on Lupron for two months to get the protein back (if it's missing) or , have a biopsy type thing of the uterus to actually TEST for the protein BEFORE going on the Lupron. This test has to be done 7-11 days past ovulation. So, I'm on CD 13, and I have 100% insurance coverage until December 31st, so I asked if I could do the biopsy this month. He said yes! Then I asked about going on the ovulation meds the next cycle while I wait for the results (they take 3-4 weeks). He said yes!!! He will not put me on Clomid or that other popular medicine for ovulation because it can bring back the endometriosis, so he's giving me some medicine that begins with an L that they give to women who are pregnant and have breast cancer. I guess it keeps estrogen levels low. So, that was "The Plan". I was kind of excited. However, on my way home, my excitement dwindeled. Why you ask??? Because EVERY test and procedure with TTC has a certain time frame it HAS to be done in, and for those of you who know me, you know that my body does NOT do well with it's timing! Bascially, I remembered on the way home that I'm leaving for NY on July 3rd. Since I NEVER know when I'm going to ovulate, this could be a problem. I came back to the office and figured out that in order to make the 7-11 day past ovulation window, I need to ovulate BEFORE the 26th or AFTER the 28th. If I ovulate on the 26th or 27th, I'll be in NY when I should be getting the biopsy, so then the plan will change! Damn I hope my body just ovulates in a timely manner. Like TOMORROW! That would be great! But, I won't hold my breath!!

Ok, That's probably enough stuff to write. I'll write more tonight.

Have a GREAT Day!!

Weekend Recap

Friday 6/15/07:
We met with a new realtor tonight. He was really great. Very thourough and seemed much more interested in making sure he knew everything about our house and neighborhood before giving us his opinion on how much we should list it for. He LOVES our house. Unfortuneatly, if you drive past our house about a 1/2 mile, there is a really dumpy neighborhood. You don't have to drive through the trashy area to get to our house, but if people drive around the neighborhood, they'll end up there. The realtor said that's a big deal to a lot of people and we'll lose peoples interest if they do that. He said if we picked up our house and put it in a different neighborhood, we'd get $139,900 for our house. But in this neighborhood, we'll get about $119,000. BIG difference! However, we only paid $92,000, so we'll still making $27,000 on it, so I guess that's not bad for only living there 3 years.

After the realtor left, we went to dinner at Sagebrush. This is a Steak House that just opened in our town. We're so psyched because before it opened, the only place you could go out to a sit down dinner is a Chinese Restaurant. Everything else is fast food. So we are very happy to have a REAL restaurant in our town. Even though, hopefully we'll be leaving that town in a couple months.

Saturday, June 16, 2006:
I had an eye appointment at 11:00 am. I woke up at 10:05am. The eye appt was a half hour away. Found out at the eye appointment that my vision has IMPROVED!! Went from 4.5 to 3.75! The Dr said sometimes that happens in your 30's. Yay for SOMETHING good that happens in your 30's. I figured it was all down hill from here.

We had our friends Robin and Joe over. We cooked out and had some drinks. Then the guys went downstairs to watch golf and Robin and I watched Hitched.
It was a lot of fun, however, when we hang out with them, we're always up soooo late. Went to bed at 2am. That is SO late for us.

Sunday, June 17, 2007:
Went over to my mom's to clean. Then I came home, colored and highlighted my hair. It turned out REALLY cute too. Then I got ready for Fathers Day. Russ took my Dad Golfing. My mom and sister went with them too. I stayed home and got everything ready for the cook out.
Everyone came back around 4:00. We hung out on the deck, had dinner and hung out some more. My dad really enjoyed himself.

No orders when I came into work today, so I have nothing to do this morning! That kinda sucks. But, it gives me time to finish my resume and get it emailed to PGT.

House Hunting

Well, we've been house hunting. At first we couldn't find much that we liked, but last night we found 3 that we LOVE. Haven't seen the inside yet (besides the pics online), but as far as land, location, and size, they are all perfect. All in great neighborhoods too.
Here are a couple of the front runners.

http://homes.realtor.com/search/listingdetail.aspx?zp=28147&ml=3&mxp=19&bd=4&bth=4&typ=7&sid=669723fd7578443b98e0b59dba87c63c&lid=1080162416&lsn=5&srcnt=79#Detail

We really love the second one the most. But we would take either.
We have an appointment with a realtor on Friday to go over selling our house and we'll ask him to set up some viewings of the above 2 houses.
Hope we can sell our house. We should be able to. Our town is becoming very popular and there are not a whole of homes for sale there. They may help us. Plus, our house is pretty damn nice!

If we move to either house, I will be 5.2 miles from my parents, 3.6 miles from my sister and niece, and 6.8 miles from work!! Woo hoo!!!!! That in it's self is worth a million bucks!!

I'm going to the bank today to about getting pre approved for our mortgage. We just paid off EVERY credit card we had, so the only debt we show is our 2 car payments and our current house. So hopefully, it won't be a problem getting a new mortgage.

On another note, only 7 more days until I meet with Dr Crain (fertility clinic) AGAIN! I know it's going to be a wasted appointment and a waste of money, but I'll go. He's surprised me a couple times now, so who knows. Maybe he'll surprise me again.

Well, I'm off to play Hearts online. Work is slow as crap and I'm all caught up, so I get to play games.

Weekend Recap

The Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket reared her ugly head on Saturday morning around 5:30am. I woke up with major cramps and lower back pain. Could not sleep at ALL!!! I had no Advil in the house and nothing in my town upened until 8am, so I had to wait 3 hours. I've never had lower back pain that severe during AF. It was wierd. I really hope my Dr didn't screw anything up when I had my surgery.

I basically did NOTHING on Saturday. I was so sore. Even with the Advil, my back hurt so bad that I did laundry and that's about it! Oh wait, I took the dogs for a walk with Russ.

Sunday morning was not as bad. I woke up at 5am again with cramps, but I was able to fall back asleep with no meds. I slept in until 10am which is late for me lately. I did my last two loads of laundry and went to pick up Kayla.

I was taking Kayla for a few hours because she is going to her Dad's for 2 weeks and I haven't seen her in a week or two, so I figure I'd take her to do something special! So, we went to Dan Nicholas Park. It's the BEST PARK EVER!!

We started out by going to the water park (where water spurts out of the ground. Kayla went in that, not me. There were a lot of obnoxious little kids in there. Kayla by far was the most well behaved and the most considerate of the other kids. I'm not just saying that either.
After that water park we went on the Paddle Boats to feed the ducks. Here's a pic........

This was a lot of fun, but it was a LOT of work for me since Kayla can not reach the pedals and kept telling me to Faster!! I need to start working out on my elliptical before we go back there!

Also, when I went to bed last night, my back felt soooo bruised. Like my shoulder blades and spine must have been pressed to hard against the hard plastic of the boat. I'm only 4'11", so I had to stretch a bit.
After the boats, we went to the Gem Mineing spot. Here, they give you a bucket of sand and you go to these water table things (you'll see in the pics) and you pour thet dirt in the sifters and place it in the water and see if you got any gems. Kayla had a LOT of gems in her dirt. Me......not so much.

This is her Emptying the small rocks she didn't want.

And the pic on the right is her first two BIG gems she found. She ended up with about 10 big gems and two shark teeth. She was pleased with her self.

After Gem Mining, we were off to Putt Putt golf (this is ALL in the same park)

Carousel and Train were next

And then we played on the playground for a little while.
About halfway through the day, Kayla said "Aunt Barbie, This is like the BEST time we've had in a LONG time".
I agreed. I wish we didn't have to leave. But we had to go so she could go to her dad's.
I got home around 7pm. Russ made hamburgers. Made mine entirely too big. Plus, he makes the fancy burgers with Egg and spices.Yuck. I don't have the heart to tell him I hated it. I just ate about half of it. He did know that it was too big. I just can not eat BIG burgers. I like mine thin and flat. The ones he made himself were so big they were almost like a ball. GROSS!
Anyway, that's it. Highlights of my weekend.
Hope you all have a Happy Monday!!

Guess I suck @ keeping promises!

I've been going crazy the last couple days. Thinking I was pregnant. I could have SWORN up until yesterday that I was pregnant. I'm still amazed that your mind can actually make you believe you have REAL symptoms. I guess I have a new look on hypochodriachs (sp?). Who know the mind was such a powerful thing. I had no idea!!Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Anyway, I awoke this morning with a MAJOR temp drop, so AF will be here today maybe tomorrow. But she's definately flying in.Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Shockingly enough, I'm not upset. I'm actually a little relieved (can't believe i'm saying that).
I really need to lose about 10-12 pounds. Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketAnd when I thought I was pregnant, I was so afraid I'd gain even more and never be able to lose. This way, at least I can try to lose some weight BEFORE I get pregnant. If I can, then I won't worry so much about the weight gain during pregnancy. I want to retrain myself to eating healthy. It will be hard because my husband is a GREAT cook and he cooks almost every night. The only positive is it's summer, and he cooks on the grill most of the time, so I can just have chicken.
I'm going to enjoy this weekend to the fullest!! Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at PhotobucketPhoto Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket BUT, come monday, I'm goint to buckle down. I'll need to lose the weight this month because I plan on being skinny and pregnant next month!!! Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

On to other news. I paid off ALL of our debt yesterday!! Woo Hoo!! Now, we are going to wait about 2 weeks and start our house hunt again. That should be fun. And Stressful. I've never had to sell a house AND buy one. What happens if I sell before I find a house and I'm homeless. OR, what happens we find a house we LOVE and can't sell our house. That would suck too. I guess people do it all the time, so it must work. We just need to find a really goood realtor.

Work is EXTREMELY slow and I may have to lay myself off again. Sucks! But, my parents have both encouraged me to apply at PGT. (one of our customers). They are looking for an HR Coordinator. I've done that job before for a company the same size as PGT. Also, I basically do that here at Arch Tech just on an extremely smaller level. I'm going to finish my resume and send it in. Can't hurt. I may not get as much money or vacation as my dad gives me, but it's a much more secure future since my dad plans on retiring soon anyway. Plus, I'll have a 401K again. This would be another positive for NOT being pregnant this month. Imagine that, who would hire a pregnant chick knowing she'll be out for 6-8 weeks in about 9 months.

To sum it all up.......I'm NOT pregnant, and I'm relieved. I have plenty to keep me distracted.

Keeping my promise

Well, I'm keeping my promise to update my blog daily. So here goes. Don't get to excited. I don't really have anything exciting to say.

I went to bed at 8:30 last night. I was exhausted. Damn PMS! I woke up at 6:00 and took my temp. It went down more. Damn it! I so wanted to prove the Dr wrong. Guess it's up to Laura and Jen to bring home the BFP's this month!
I got up around 8:30 and played on the computer. Obsessed of Fertility Friend Charts for at least an hour. Couldn't find any that even closely resembled mine. More depressing.
Then I spent at least an hour on twoweekwait.com reading early pregnancy symptoms. Still nothing. Now I'm so depressed, I don't even want to clean the house. I do though.
Cleaned the house and finished laundry.

I watched the Movie Little Children on PPV. I read the book last October and I've been dying to see it. It was really good. I now realize why it was not shown in theaters. It had some VERY detailed sex scenes! The whole thing went right along with the book until the very end. That was really different and shocking!

Now I'm watching stupid tv because NOTHING is on. I'm probably going to go to bed soon.

Hopefully I'll have more intersting stuff to talk about tomorrow!

It's been awhile.

Sorry to those of you who read this blog. I have not written in a LONG time. I've actually had a lot to write about, but it all became overwhelming and I just did not have the energy to update.
I will starte updateing regularly again tomorrow.
A quick recap (without much detail).
We went looking for houses. Found one we really liked in a perfect neighborhood close to both of Russ and I's work place. However, once our credit report came through, I found out about a judgment that Russ had against him over an old college bill. We got in a HUGE fight over it. Basically because he lied about and he also ignored it, so now its $900 more then it was originally. I actually left the night of our fight and went to my parents house. There, I decided to get completely wasted with my mother! We were up until 12:30am talking about everything. Not about me and Russ because I didn't want to talk about that. We talked about my grandparents and growing up and stuff. It was nice. However, we were regretting it the next day when we had to go to work. Luckily, I work for my dad and since he knew how upset I was, he told me to come in whenever I felt like it.
Russ and I talked the next day. Things are fine now. This even basically made him actually take responsibility for things. I really hope I NEVER have to go through that again. It sucked!

I went to Knocked Up tonight. The movie. it was so freakin' funny. I don't think I've laughed that hard , (out loud) that much EVER in at a movie. It was extremely funny. However, since I'm Fertility Challenged, it was also pretty depressing. So I came home in a crap mood. Luckily Russ taped golf, so he's down stairs watching it now. Probably better for him. Not that I would be mean to him or anything, I just don't feel like talking to anyone at this point.

Had my after surgery follow up the other day. That went well. The Dr said everythings looks great. He showed me pictures of my insides. GROSS!! I saw my overies, my tubes, my uterus. I saw where my endometriosis was and when it was removed. I saw him removing it. I couldn't stop looking at them, but at the same time, they were so freakin' nasty looking.
He then proceeded to tell me not to get my hopes up this cycle because it will take awhile for my hormones to get back on track. Gee thanks Doc! I was enjoying obsessing over my chart and all my twinges and such. Not he ruined it. Bastard!

Well, I'm going to go to bed now. I promise to start updating daily starting tomorrow.
